Interaction with Mr. Gurudas Kamat

On 31st July, 2010 students of St. Xavier’s High School Andheri(E)  visited Congress Bhavan at D.N. Nagar Andheri(E) for an interactive session with
Mr. Gurudas Kamath, Minister of State Information Technology & Communication Govt. Of India. The session began with the short speech by Mst. Abhishek Jikamde expressing gratitude for getting an opportunity to have a one to one interaction with a person of his eminence. Students put forth their queries and were satisfied with his response.  They were delighted to acquaint themselves with the information and experience shared with them. Honourable Minister urged the youth not to be complacent, but be rational thinkers, be diligent & make their parents & country proud.



World Chess Champion Vishwanathan Anand wishes Ryanite Divyanshu who is going participate in National Chess Championship title U-13 category held in Pondicherry from 24th June to 5th July 2010.

All the best for your event in the National U-13. I visited your sister school in Mumbai and am sure you are very privileged to be in a school that promotes sports, especially chess.

RYANITE ARJUN VAJPAI IS THE KING OF THE EVEREST

Arjun Vajpai is the YOUNGEST INDIAN and the SECOND YOUNGEST in the WORLD to scale the Mount Everest peak. He is a proud Grade 12 student of the Ryan International Group, Noida. Upon Arjun’s arrival in Kathmandu after completing the marvelous feat, he was welcomed by the Managing Director Madam Grace Pinto and was later felicitated by the students and staff of the Ryan International School in Delhi. The President and the Prime Minister of Nepal also felicitated Arjun on this unique achivement.

Since then, Arjun was very keen to share his experiences with the students of Ryan International Schools in Mumbai and thus was invited for an interactive session with the students. It was a very inspirational session for the students who heard with great interest the various challenges that Arjun faced and the way he overcame them with a strong dedication and God’s strength.

He visited the Ryan International School, Chembur and later visited the Felicitation ceremony organized at the Juhu Vile Parle Gymkhana. The Chairman of the Ryan International and Ryan Global Schools Dr. Augustine Pinto welcomed their proud Ryanite Arjun and recognized his efforts amidst a captive audience of staff and students. Dr. Augustine Pinto mentioned that every child in the Ryan group is “A King in the Making” or “A Queen in the Making” and he was extremely pleased to have Arjun as the KING OF THE EVEREST. He emphasized that the schools and teachers play a very important role in recognizing the strength within a child and continuous encouragement is embedded in the school system to ensure their success.

Arjun Vajpai enjoyed interacting with the students and thanked the Management, Principal and teachers of the Ryan School for helping him with all their extra efforts in order to ensure that he lives his dream to scale the Mount Everest. He acknowledged the special care bestowed upon him by the Chairman Dr. Augustine Pinto and Managing Director Madam Grace Pinto.

He answered at length various questions posed by the students such as “What are the 5 things he would like to carry with him while Mountaineering”, “What are his future plans”, “Has the emergence of sudden fame affected his studies”, “How does it look from the highest peak of the Mount Everest”, “How big is the summit at the peak”, “How was he get inspired to climb the Mount Everest”, “Which was easier- Climbing up to the peak or returning back” …etc.

Arjun Vajpai’s family which includes his father Capt Vajpai, mother Priya Vajpai and sister Gauri Vajpai were also felicitated for supporting the dreams of young Arjun. The Secretary of the Juhu Vile Parle Gymkhana who felt honored by his visit also felicitated Arjun Vajpai and Dr. Augustine Pinto, the Chairman of the Ryan group. The Juhu Vile Parle Gymkhana have a huge celebrity quotient which includes Amitabh Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan, Sunny Deol, Dharmendra, Anil Kapoor, Hema Malini and others.

Immediate plans for Arjun is to resume back to his Grade 12 studies at the Ryan International School, Noida from June 23, 2010. He is sure that this is a mountain that he is sure to scale with more confidence once he is back to the guidance of his school and teachers.



World Chess Champion Vishwanathan Anand visits Ryan Schools

World Chess Champion Grandmaster Vishwanathan Anand visited the Ryan International Schools in Mumbai on 18th June 2010 for an interactive session organized by the Management team of the Ryan group. Such opportunities are provided at Ryan schools, which motivate the students to be inspired by leaders in their respective field such as Vishwanathan Anand who is a world leader in the game of chess. The Managing Director of the Ryan International and Ryan Global Schools, Madam Grace Pinto felicitated Vishwanathan Anand for recently being crowned as the World Chess Champion 2010.

Vishwanathan (Vishy) Anand arrived in the school to a huge reception, which involved students, teachers and parents. Vishwanathan Anand interacted at length with the students who asked multitude of questions such as "which was the most challenging game", "when and why did you start playing chess", "Is the "rook" more stronger than a "bishop" or a "knight", etc, which Anand answered very passionately. Anand was amazed when a 5th grade student asked him whether a bad start to the morning affects his game. Anand also played chess with students from different schools of Mumbai who gave a real tough competition to Anand while playing. Vishy admitted that the students played real good chess and were real good opponents.

Anand was full of praises for the young media journalist team of young school students who presented Anand with an Audio Visual film on his life. Anand and his wife Aruna were so pleased seeing the AV that they went back into their memories of his success story. His comments on the school were "An enjoyable experience. Amit Mishra visit to Ryan International School

It was a great day at Ryan International school, Greater Noida on 17th June 10, the last day of summer camp, when Amit Mishra , the renowned bowler of Indian Cricket Team visited the school to motivate young students for their commendable effort at Ryan Summer Camp. He appreciated the creations of students learnt during the camp and also gave tips of good bowling skills at cricket play ground. Children were highly excited to meet this young cricketer.
