  International School Awards(ISA)

It is indeed a prestigious moment for all Ryanites to know that 17 schools across India under the aegis of Ryan International Group of Institutions have been successfully accredited with the British Council International School Award (ISA) for 2008-09.

The ISA is a global platform that provides recognition for teachers and their schools working to instill a global dimension into the learning experience of every child and young people. It is an accreditation scheme run by the British Council for the Department for Children, Schools and Families in the UK. It’s a scheme that recognizes good practice in adding an international dimension to the school curriculum.

Under the ISA, Ryan schools made an annual action plan consisting of 7-8 activities as per the guidelines from the British Council and then implemented it as a part of the curriculum with providing evidence for the same.

The 17 Ryan schools that that have received the ISA are:

Western Region:

  • Ryan International School- Goregaon
  • Ryan International School- Nerul
  • Ryan International School- Sanpada
  • St.Xaviers High School- Goregaon
  • St.Xaviers High School- Mira Road
  • St.Lawrence High School- Borivli
  • St.Mary’s High School- Dahisar

Northern Region:

  • Ryan International School-Vasant Kunj
  • Ryan International School- Mayur Vihar
  • Ryan International School- Rohini
  • Ryan International School- Sohna Road
  • Ryan International School- Noida
  • Ryan International School-Greater Noida
  • Ryan International School- Ghaziabad
  • Ryan International School- Faridabad
  • Ryan International School- Ludhiana
  • Ryan International School- Chandigarh

The Managing Director of Ryan International Group of Institutions, Madam Grace Pinto also expressed her views as, “ISA is a global platform that gives an exposure to every child to experience global cultures so as to understand and appreciate the differences between varied cultures. This award is just the beginning…..it is a recognition and acknowledgement of the efforts put in by the students and teachers….We hope to continue exchanging pedagogy and ideas with the international links established during this journey.”

The Project Manager (West India) of British Council, Ms.Ruchira Ghosh expressed her experience as; ‘It was interesting to see a large number of schools from the Ryan Group apply for the prestigious International School Award in 2008-9. The dossiers reflected a wide range of international activities and varied approaches to internationalism. The schools that have been successfully awarded the accreditation have demonstrated their commitment to developing international dimension in the curriculum and we would like to encourage them to develop this further in the coming years.’

The world is becoming a Global Village. Therefore we at RIGI impart universal education to our students to face the global challenges, and, our actions are visible through this prestigious award.

This is just the beginning and we are certain that we will have many more milestones to achieve as we undertake the ongoing journey towards excellence in education.
