Washington DC - 5th to 12th July, 2003

Ryan International Schools, India returned from Washington DC after a productive and mind-widening experience at the Presidential Classroom (PC) programme held at the prestigious Georgetown University Centre from the 5th to 12th of July 2003. This is the second time that students from India have represented the country. The students of Ryan International Schools also had the honour of making the previous year's representation. The 2003 team was led by Ms. Sonal Pinto, the administrator of the Group of schools, accompanied the team on invitation as an observer for the programme.

Ryanites on Top

  • Ryanites won laurels for their beautiful presentation of India during the country presentation programme.
  • Ms. Divya Samuel was elected as the Country Delegation Head and Mst. Vaibhav Kumar was elected as the Head of the Working Group on Terrorism.
  • Mst. Dhruv Udani and Mst. Hardik Vora was selected on the panel representing Economy and Refugees.

The Dean of Presidential Classroom, Ms. Ginger King was so impressed by the Indian presence that she wore a saree to the banquet dinner, thus demonstrating the huge impact the Indian students made during the programme.

On the 13th night, the Indian delegates returned home with happy and unforgettable memories after a successful tour They had the satisfaction of presenting India on an international platform and experienced renewed pride in being Indian.
