India witnessed the largest containment in history, when on 25 March – its 1.3 billion citizens battened down their hatches in an attempt to flatten the COVID-19 curve. Lockdown is now being slowly relaxed, but India is still not in a position to reopen its schools and colleges, unlike other countries.
Though the lockdown is relaxed, we must not forget that we still need to be cautious.

Physical distancing and masks are the new fashion now. For people returning to work, or daily life should use masks and distance themselves from each other to prevent another surge of Covid-19.
Older people and those with underlying medical problems like cardiovascular disease, diabetes, chronic respiratory disease, and cancer are more likely to develop serious illness, WHO states. Thus, despite an easing of lockdown, these at-risk groups demand care, while a possible vaccine to fight Covid-19 is still under investigation.
We’ve all been adjusting to living in a world that we have never experienced before. To stay safe we all have to follow some hygienic rules, once the lockdown is lifted.
